Mural Talks

Through honest conversations with artists, curators, galleries and organisers, the podcast looks beyond the finished murals to discuss creativity, financial pressure, missed opportunities and the challenge of building a sustainable career.

Recorded on Instagram Live, each conversation asks one central question:

What does it really take to survive and succeed as an artist today?

Remi Rough - 10 September

We start this series of podcasts with Remi Rough. Remi, is a British graffiti writer, abstract painter and muralist. He is best known for work that bridges graffiti and street art with fine art abstraction. Remi, a long lasting friend, and I already worked with each other during several occassions. With his honest and transparent conversations on his socials he addresses the challenges and struggles many of us have at the moment in the (art) world.

Nuno Viegas - 24 September

Second podcast was with Nuno Viegas. My Portugese friend once lived in my home town Rotterdam, but since several years is now again based in Portugal. Interested to hear how he is doing!

Squid Licker - 8 October

Third podcast was with my dear friend Lauren from Los Angeles.  We’ll talk about life behind the work: how things are going, whether the challenges facing the art world are affecting their career, and what comes next.
