Biography

David Roos trained as a stage designer, as well as theatre work he also worked on films. In the late 1970's he was asked by the now internationally famous shoe designer, Manolo Blahnik to design and fabricate his shop in London's Chelsea.

This commission led him to designing exclusive interiors in London, New York, Mumbai, Stockholm and Luxembourg all containing furniture, fabric, lighting and carpets, etc. designed by David Roos.

His work as an interior and wallpaper designer has appeared in many major magazines, Vogue, World of Interiors, New York Times and American House and Garden to name but a few; plus numerous books... the most recent being "Baroque Baroque" and "Divinely Decadent".

His interior sketches for the London home of the actress, Miss Faye Dunaway are in the permanent collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
